We are a non-profit Children's Advocacy Center, a welcoming place where a child suffering sexual and physical abuse can tell the story of what has happened to them a minimum number of times, in a friendly, supportive environment designed with them in mind, while our team works together to make sure the child is safe and receiving counseling and other services.
That team includes forensic interviewers and forensic medical staff, law enforcement, CPS, counselors, court officials, volunteers, and support staff.
Harold's House staff provide services including forensic interviews, family advocacy, Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner, and community education. In addition Harold's House offers the opportunity for parenting classes and Stewards of Children training course. Some courses can even be used towards CEU credits.
